Orthographic Projection is the most important chapter of all graphics syllabi as it feeds itself through the entire syllabus into all other chapters. It is typically how drawings are presented or asked to represent as. It is the representation of 3D geometry projected on to a plane; typically the planes of reference. They are detailed drawings which shows different views of an object/structure/or other geometry in many orientations.
Orthographic Projection is specific to question 1 of the Junior Certificate exam. Typical Orthographic Views: - The Elevation (Front) - The Plan (Top) - The End View / or End Elevation (Side) |
